How to play
Matches are short and frantic, so the goal is simply to outscore your opponent before the clock runs out. Movement, shooting, and blocking are mapped to a handful of keys, with one player on the left side of the keyboard and a second on the right for local games. A useful early lesson: taking down your opponent is often more effective than trying to block a shot mid-air, so do not be shy about playing rough. Blocking is there when you need it, but body position and timing usually win possessions. Because the rounds are so short, a single steal or a contested dunk can swing the whole match, so staying aggressive on both ends of the court tends to pay off more than playing it safe.

Characters and customization
Before you hit the court you can personalize your player down to the details, picking your outfit, colors, sock color, and logos for your sweatshirt. There are 33 characters to unlock, most of them playful takes on famous NBA stars with punny names like Luka Magic and Step Flurry. As you progress you also unlock equipment such as trainers and balls, along with special moves that give your game more flair.
