What is Soccer Bros?
Soccer Bros is a 1v1 arcade soccer game released in 2024. You pick a character, each with their own stats and strengths, and try to outscore your opponent before time runs out. The pitch is compact and the gameplay is quick by design. Each character is a playful take on a real football star, from a Messi-styled forward to a Ronaldo-inspired striker, and the roster includes women's soccer characters such as a Megan Rapinoe lookalike, making Soccer Bros one of the first games in its genre to include women's players.
Controls for Soccer Bros
Player 1 uses WASD to move and G or spacebar to kick. Player 2 uses the arrow keys to move and L to kick. Both sets of controls work on the same keyboard, so two people can play on one machine.

Unlocks and progression
Win a few matches and the game rewards you with new players, items, logos, cosmetics, and kit colors. Characters vary in stats, so experimenting with different picks after each unlock run is part of the loop. There is no paywall: everything is earned through play.
Tips for winning more matches
- Learn your character's stats before committing to a playstyle. A slower character with strong kicks plays very differently from a fast but weaker one.
- Watch the goalkeeper hand. It moves in a pattern, so timing your shot around its position gives you a cleaner angle on goal.
- Rough tackles are legal, but the referee does award penalties. Use physical play to disrupt your opponent, not just to foul.
- Practice mode is worth a few minutes before jumping into tournament brackets. The controls are simple but the timing on kicks takes a moment to feel right.
